PS Café is an epic spot for a Singapore Brunch. They have many outlets but we decided to take the one on Harding Road for a spin. It’s located in lovely Dempsey Hill that has a number great restaurants to choose from.

THE VIBE

The location is beautiful, surrounded by lots of space and greenery, which is a nice change from the hustle and bustle of Singapore. The menu here is awesome and you will be sure to find something you like. They have everything from normal brunch items such as eggs benedict, to steak and pasta. Who doesn’t want a steak for brunch?!

THE DRINKS

For drinks, we both had mojitos ($16) which were a bit watery TBH. I kind of wish I went the full hog and had a Bloody Mary, they have an impressive selection.

THE FOOD

I had one of their specials which was a sweetcorn fritter with smashed avocado, feta, bacon, and a shit-ton of rocket (the basic bitch option if you will). Paul had the chorizo hash with beans and a poached egg, and we shared the famous parmesan truffle fries ($15) which did not disappoint. Main meals range from $20-30.

So, when we eat out 9 times out of 10 Paul’s pick will hands-down beat whatever poor offering I have chosen. On this very rare occasion, I won. The sweetcorn fitter was wonderfully crispy without being soaked with oil, the sweetness from the fritter coupled with the salty feta was a dream. Avocado makes everything better. Fact. The bacon topped everything off well. Usually, I don’t love mountains of rocket obscuring your food but the pepperiness was a nice addition, although they could have used much less.

Paul’s meal didn’t win but it was still very tasty. The chorizo provided a nice kick of spice to the tomato and beans. The poached egg was perfectly cooked and the runny yolk gave a lovely richness to the dish. The crispy fried potato skins provided some much-needed texture. The mountain of truffle parmesan fries were the best I have tasted in Singapore (so far) and need to be shared!
