We were staying around the corner from Habitual and were happy we stumbled across this beauty. Habitual was one of the best places we ate at in Bali and was so good we came back the next day for breakfast! They have any type of burger you can imagine as well as awesome juices and brunch items. Check out our other Bali reviews on the blog.
As with the majority of restaurants in Bali, Habitual has that hipster vibe you come to expect from Seminyak. The staff are really friendly and attentive and because Habitual is a little out of the way from the main streets it feels like an oasis away from the hustle and bustle.
Great selection of juices, coffee and beers. We recommend their coconut water (35K IDR) where you can choose between different fruit ice cubes – watermelon and mint was my favourite. They also do really good smoothies and juices (50K IDR).
The selection of burgers at Habitual is on point! The price ranges from 65K to 125K IDR depending on toppings. We tried the simple (95K IDR), kaffir lime chicken fried and grilled (75K IDR), double cheeseburger (125K IDR), and the brunch burger (115K IDR). All were pretty damn tasty. Paul got his usual burger barometer the classic cheeseburger – he’s unable to order anything apart from this! The cheeseburger was up there with the greats (9/10) juicy, the right amount of cheese, and so so flavoursome.
I went for the kaffir lime fried chicken burger – my oh my was that chicken crispy! Now I couldn’t taste the kaffir lime which was a shame but I forgave them because the chicken was on point – juicy chicken covered in the crispiest batter. I came back the next day and order the brunch burger, which was beef patty, bacon, cheese, fried egg, potato rosti, tomato, rocket, and hollandaise! You couldn’t fit anything else in if you tried! It was delicious but you need two people to finish that baby.
We all shared a dessert of brioche french toast with banana and vanilla ice cream (75K IDR). You can’t have brunch without french toast. FACT. This one was really good but not outstanding, although saying that I would order it again.
If you are in Seminyak, steer away from the over-hyped hipster brunch spots on the main streets and come down to Habitual Quench & Feed, you won’t be disappointed.
